Refund policy

We have a 30-day return policy, which means you have 30 days after receiving your item to request a return.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

If your return is accepted, we’ll send you a return shipping label, as well as instructions on how and where to send your package. Items sent back to us without first requesting a return will not be accepted.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Certain types of items cannot be returned, like perishable goods (such as food, flowers, or plants), custom products (such as special orders or personalized items), and personal care goods (such as beauty products). We also do not accept returns for hazardous materials, flammable liquids, or gases. Please get in touch if you have questions or concerns about your specific item.

Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on sale items or gift cards.

Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.

European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase.

Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the refund was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded on your original payment method within 10 business days. Please remember it can take some time for your bank or credit card company to process and post the refund too.

WARRANTY

We offer a 1-year warranty on all MÙJ jewelry for customers within the Netherlands and the European Union.

RESTRICTIONS

The warranty does not cover:

• Chains and their components
• Screw locks
• Mechanical damage to gemstones

JEWELRY CARE

MÙJ pieces are designed to accompany you through all stages of life — the calm, the bold, and the transformative. Every moment leaves its trace, and that is entirely natural.

Fine scratches and slight metal discoloration may occur over time due to wear and the form of each piece — for example, flat surfaces tend to show more visible marks.

To preserve the original finish:

• Avoid contact with hard materials (steel, stone, hard plastics, sand).
• Remove your jewelry before exercising, swimming, visiting a sauna, lifting weights, or cleaning.
• Store your pieces in the original MÙJ pouch or in a box in a dry, and dark place.

Cleaning Your Jewelry at Home

Silver Jewelry

Sterling silver naturally oxidizes when exposed to air, moisture, and skin contact.
Use a polishing cloth to restore shine. For stronger oxidation, slightly moisten the cloth with a silver cleaning solution and gently wipe the affected areas.
Do not soak your jewelry in the solution — this may damage materials such as pearls, gemstones, or enamel.
After cleaning, rinse with water and dry thoroughly.

Rhodium Plating

Rhodium is a rare, noble metal from the platinum group. All MÙJ silver and 18k gold plating pieces are rhodium-plated to protect them from oxidation and maintain their bright tone.
With time, rhodium plating can wear off, which may cause the underlying silver to oxidize — this is normal.

White gold has a natural greyish tone and is traditionally rhodium-plated to achieve its signature cool-white finish.

Gold Plating

Gold plating (vermeil) is a fine layer of gold over sterling silver.
Over time, the top layer will naturally fade, revealing the silver beneath. The speed of this process depends on where and how often the jewelry is worn.

Gemstones, Pearls & Diamonds

MÙJ uses natural gemstones unless otherwise specified.
Even the hardest stones, such as diamonds, can be damaged by impact. Please remove your jewelry before sports or physical activity.

Earrings

Remove earrings before sleeping to avoid skin irritation behind the earlobe.
Clean fastenings regularly with alcohol wipes and monitor skin condition.

RETURNS & EXCHANGES

You can return your purchase within 14 days of receiving it if you are located in the Netherlands or another EU country.

If your jewelry breaks due to a production defect, you may request a repair or replacement within two years of purchase. Proof of purchase is required.
MÙJ reserves the right to decline unreasonable repair or return requests.

Return shipping costs are covered by the sender and are non-refundable. Please use a tracked service.

Step 3: Ensure items are unworn and in original condition. Returns showing visible use may be declined.
Step 4: Include the original MÙJ tag and all packaging.
Step 5: Pack securely in the original boxes. Damaged items due to improper packaging are not eligible for refund or exchange.

REFUNDS

Refunds are processed within 10 business days once returned items are received and approved.
For security reasons, refunds can only be made to the same payment method used for the original purchase via Shopify
