The founder Demet decided to start her journey with MUJ after 10 years in the fashion and jewelry industry with great vision and knowledge about what is a real pain in the market where quality and unique products are hard to match with quality material

She worked for months to build the philosophy and the idea around MUJ before she released it to the public as a brand loved at first sight by the people of Amsterdam!

the name also has its story: MÙJ is a word born from the meeting of several languages.
It means waves.

And that’s where we come from: from motion, from change, from constant transformation.

The waves have carried me.
